        Jose Blazquez

Jose Blazquez is a December 2001 graduate of Texas Tech School of Law.  Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Jose and his family have called San Antonio home since 1990.  Jose graduated from William H. Taft High School in Northwest San Antonio and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Jose maintains a general civil practice with an emphasis on litigation, consumer law, and small business work.  He frequently handles and advises clients on matters involving contractual disputes, commercial disputes, catastrophic injury and/or death, deceptive trade practices, employment, personal injuries, construction, auto accidents, semi-trailer accidents, slip and falls, design and manufacturing defects in products, contract negotiations, business separations, and small business formation.  Jose continually represents parties in both the prosecution and defense of claims.

While in law school, Jose served as a managing editor for the Texas Tech Legal Research Board and clerked for the Honorable Judge Frank Montalvo in the 288^th District Court of Texas.

Jose started his legal career as an associate at the law firm of Shelton & Valadez, P.C. in San Antonio, and subsequently began his own practice in 2004.  Jose possesses substantial experience in handling and trying civil matters.  Jose has successfully litigated hundreds of cases and advised hundreds of clients with their legal matters.

Jose is fluent in Spanish and licensed by the Texas Supreme Court.  Additionally, Jose is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Texas .

        Tara Zehner

Tara Zehner is a May 2000 graduate of St. Mary’s University School of Law.  Originally from Los Angeles, California, Tara has resided in San Antonio for over a decade.  Tara received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado – Denver in 1995.

Tara primarily maintains a criminal defense practice, and represents clients in both Texas State and Federal Courts.  Tara also handles numerous civil matters including litigation, consumer law, contractual disputes, commercial disputes, catastrophic injury and/or death, deceptive trade practices, personal injuries, construction, auto accidents, semi-trailer accidents, slip and falls, design and manufacturing defects in products, and contract negotiations. 

While in law school, Tara served as Associate Editor of the St. Mary’s University Law Journal and received the honor of having her work published by the Journal.

Tara began her legal career as a Bexar County Assistant District Attorney and then practiced civil trial law with the law firm of Shaddox, Compere, Walraven and Good, P.C. until 2006 when she began her own practice.  Tara possesses substantial experience in handling and trying criminal and civil matters, and as a former prosecutor, brings a unique and experienced perspective to defending persons accused of criminal offenses.

Tara is licensed by the Texas Supreme Court, and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.
